Abstract

The UNC Charlotte College of Education and Read Charlotte are pleased to present the What Matters in Literacy Speaker Series on November 30, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the UNC Charlotte Center City Campus Building. The public is invited to hear Dr. James Kim, Harvard University School of Education, share his expertise and research related to identifying literacy interventions and instructional practices that enable educators to improve literacy outcomes for children, especially vulnerable populations of children growing up in low-income neighborhoods, schools, and homes. Dr. Kim will be joined by a panel of experts for a question and answer session to address questions from the public about literacy.
